For a while now Ive been having this feeling that I am in a dream and I cant get in touch with reality, and when this feeling intensifies I get the urge to cut myself to make sure im awake. I only cut a couple times and havent done it in a while. I found snapping my fingers help for some reason. But how do I get rid of this feeling I always have to touch object to see if there actually real, everything feels like a fog to me like none is actually real as well as my memories. I feel like im going crazy. Is anyone else like this?

I have this too and have looked it up some.
It is called Depersonalization Disorder. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depersonalization_disorder#Symptoms)
The core symptom of depersonalization disorder is the subjective experience of "unreality in one's sense of self"
I just had a wave of it today after having a bad panic attack last night.
I find it happens more often when I have not slept well enough.
I have read grabbing things and pinching or poking yourself etc is
common when you get that out of body type feeling. It is really scary
sometimes and feels like I am losing my mind. No fun :(
