It is too good to be true. Eventually people would get lazy and it wouldn't be pratical.

Inflation? It wasn't even mentioned. And how does it not create a disincentive to work? It was simply asserted that it would not create disincentive. There would have to be some pretty good explanations for a lot more stuff to seriously consider the idea. Just reading the article I have no confidence it would work.

It is possible, but it has many ways in how it can fail and have unwanted side effects.
