I noticed today that there are quite a few users with communist symbols in their names or signatures. As a student of world history I have only seen some of bad outcomes of communism. I want to know, what draws you do communism. Basically, why do you like it/consider your self a member of the communist party.
Personally, I think communism is a great idea that probably can't work.

As a student of world history I have only seen some of bad outcomes of communism.I assume you picked up on the bad outcomes of capitalism whilst you were at it?

I want to know, what draws you do communism.I'm not actually a communist but I'll answer this anyway: the realisation that the inherent contradictions contained within the capitalist system means that it's life-span is finite and communism is inevitable; as an extension of that: the realisation that we're at the stage of human economic advancement where we're simply creating needless employment for the sake of keeping up current consumption levels; general disdain for the immoral (subjective) and exploitive (objective) practices of the capitalist class; the want for ones returned control over, and re-connection with, ones own labour; etc. There's a lot of reasons, actually.

Communism is actually an extremely misunderstood philosophy. What Karl Marx articulated is really nothing like what modern communist countries practice. Communism in theory, or in Karl Marx's theory rather, does not have a military dictator in power. Modern communist countries don't particularly practice Marxism, which is what Marx's articulation is called; Marxism is more of a way to view/analyze the world, whereas modern communism is a political movement where a sole dictator or small group of powerful leaders, usually military leaders, take power and use it to put themselves above the people they govern. Modern communism is very corrupt, Marxism on the other hand can be quite beautiful, although I'm not so sure it can ever be attained because of the massive stigma around modern communism. No, this does not make me a communist :P

Ever heard the frase all that gliters isnt gold...
Whel this aplies to social sistems as whell is someone says to be communist (PRC) or socialist (DDR) doesnt make it true.

Why i personaly consider communism (with a soft transition frew fazes of socialism) as our only future?
Because i believe in democracy, i think that people should be able to govern themselvesy without any opresion from above. I cannot understand how people can stand idly by and watch how the les than one per cent of the populus holds all the welth while the rest strugle to survive!! The list of this bulet point reasons vould go on and on but you get the picture of my ideologie.

Any questions i would be glad to answer.

The people on here will tell you that Communism has never been tried and evil dictators such as Mao, Stalin, and people of the modern era like Kim Jong Un aren't actually communists. That doesn't matter. What matters is what will happen if you implement it. The fact of the matter is that whenever "true communism" is attempted we've always ended up with evil power freaks such leaders and terrible economies. Everyone is equally poor, except of course for the dictators and their cabinets. By contrast, we have living proof that a capitalist, more free market system is far superior to it: America, Britain, and every other country that shares the title of "more developed". To align yourself with the communist ideology you must be living in a utopian fantasy. People aren't perfect, and require incentive to work and provide. Capitalism does this. Communism doesn't.

If capitalists weren't trying to eradicate communism, it would've worked out better.

I don't think Marx had Stalin's iron fist and purges in mind when he came up with the idea of communism. Pretty much all the " communist " countries have been failures and that's why people are so hostile towards it.

And then there's also Tito and Yugoslavia. He's basically Stalin, minus the paranoid delusions that killed millions. Yugoslavia wasn't communism either, it was actually a socialist state, and that still makes it the closest thing to communism that has ever been implemented. The USSR was a perfect example of how to fuck up a great power and cripple the economy. If Lenin hadn't died, it might have been different.

But I do agree with your last point. Communism can't work in today's world, it's just a dream. It goes against basic human nature. But some communist/socialist ideas can be implemented to make the country better, like in the case of Yugoslavia, and people shouldn't be afraid of it.
