Do you have friends you actually know in real life, and have you made friends on here that you only talk to online?

I've made a lot of friends here on VT sadly they live to far away to meet so we talk online.

There are a handful of people I'm friends with on this site that either referred me to the site or that I referred to the site, but none are all that active. The only friends I've ever made on this site are staff members, who I talk to online on a regular basis.

I have met two people from this site so I guess you could say I do now know them in real life. I met my best friend on here, it's always possible to do so. Most of my great friendships have come from on here.

I've told one person that I knew irl about this site and he's not active anymore. Many of my close friendships have started on VT and I've met one of them in real life because we only live a couple hours from each other.

Prolly cause of my autism I only want to know ppl
here on the forum boards rather then trying to become
actual online friends. My cousin and bestie know about
the forums i'm on - but if they joined they are keeping
it a secret which is the way i'd prefer it.

I really consider Vt a little bit of a sanctuary. I'm glad none of my friends are on here. I live in Alabama and acceptance of differentness (like homosexuality) is not as high as it could be. If they were on here I'd have to watch my self and what I say. I'm sure they'd be fine if they knew, but others... not so much.

I just talk with a few people from here but never met on real life... but I think it's normal since I've only been here for a week haha. However I would like someday to meet some of my new "friends"
