has anyone else ever thought of self harm as a drug i mean there both addictive bad for your health and if you think about it over time u seem to need them both more they seem so simular to me i think sh can be just a dangerous as drugs and in some cases even more dangerous i mean we offten use the word addiction to describe sh so why not say that its bassicaly a drug

Technically it is a drug. When we cut our brain releases endorphins. Endorphins relieve pain and make you feel better. It's a natural drug. So it is a drug if you think about it scientifically.
O wow interesting. that explains a lot.

Actually sduddies have proven its not always about the endorphins. It can be a meantal addiction where the feeling is all in ur head so to speak. So its not always endorphines.
No I don't think of it as one, and I feel if we did it would be illegal wed go to jail for it and it would be another detriment to society. So I refrain from addiction as it sets up a bad label. And self harmers shouldn't be looked down on like alcoholics or crack addicts. I personally haven't found it addictive, but I haven't found oxycontin (sp) addictive either and I was on that for weeks (medical reason of course) but I quit cold turkey and it didn't bother me a bit.
So who am I to speak about feeling addicted

this i can relate to i hate any form of medition so when i got off steroids i quit cold turkey and had no problem at all but i do not look down on people with any sort of addiction i know alot of people that have them and have found that they do them for very much the same reasons we do
