Ok, so here's whats goin on.....

I have this really great girlfriend and she means the world to me:wub:

BUT...I think I might be gay, or possibly bi.

Are these thoughts normal? Has anyone else had this experience? If I am gay, how do I tell her, and my parents? I think my parents would be fine, but I'm worried she would tell everyone and then I would be shot, 'cause that's just how kids at my school are. I'm scared, not so much about being gay/bi, but about how my life would change and how people would react.

PLEASE HELP!

(btw i'm 12)

Yes, those thoughts are normal. During puberty, everyone gets a little curious about their sexuality. If you love your girlfriend as a girlfriend, and not just in a friendly sort of way, chances are that you're probably not gay. You could still be bi, but if you're that worried about word getting out, don't tell anyone unless you're sure. There are a lot of threads like yours on the Teen Sexuality board here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=35). Check em out, it could really reassure you that you that this is indeed normal. And there's no pressure to put a label on it! Sometimes you're curious about the whole thing and you're not really sure what you are, but that doesn't mean you have to start telling people you're bi or gay; you don't have to tell them anything, if you don't want to. All that matters is figuring it out for yourself. :)
