To me it all sounds like American English most of the time.
Scorpions (German)
Pink Floyd (British)
AC/DC (Australian)
They all sound American to me! Can anyone relate or am I losing it.

Yeah, that's true. A lot of them do use American accents when they perform. You're not going totally crazy

I have noticed that too for the most part.
Although to me Pink Floyd sounds very British in The Wall.
Sting almost sounds French to me for some reason.
I thought one old song called Brand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pvex2NjzTwM)y was being sung
by a heavyset black guy and found out it was a skinny white guy.
It's not always easy to tell from the voice alone.

I don't listen to only those 3 I listed
For fucks sake, Immigrant Song and Money for nothing are awesome! In fact, I think Money for nothing has one of the best riffs of all time. I'll listen to Renegade occasionally.

It's because when you sing, you use your mouth differently than when you normally speak. When singing, you relax the muscles in your mouth (typically) and open up in order to make an echo chamber so you project your voice further. This relaxed form is pretty similar to Northern-American dialect.

I kinda figured something like that happens. Thanks for the clarification.
