Is Israels existance justified? Is the creation and exestence of the state of Israel moral?

I've been raised to support Israel in everything and anything because of my religion, but in truth I know very little about the facts. Even now, my mother and her entire side of the family insists on supporting Israel and since I know nothing about it, I say nothing. I would, however, be very upset if Israel ceased to exist.

Israel in it's creation back in 1949 was a good idea, however it's tragic just how fucked up it's become since then. They're virtually a proxy for the US in the region. They've been at war for virtually the last 50 years and it's had terrible effects on their country.
And there is the major issue about war crimes committed by the Israelis

All I really know about Israel is that they are at war every second week, they were created for the Jews in 1949, they are under constant attack, and they are at massive differences religiously to those in the nations around them.

Israel is a country that has no moral grounds for its existence.

It has become clear that it shouldn't exist, but the reasons as to why it has come to exist shouldn't have existed either.

Firstly what the hell do you mean by the state of Israels existance being ''moral''?
I don't perceive myself as being all wise or powerful enough to say wether a country should exist or not.
However I do see myself as being a person with the capacity for independent and critical thought in that regard I think that the sense of mind prevalent in Israel regarding their right to ''defend themselves'' or exact ''revenge'' on their ''attackers'' to be sickening and twisted beyond belief.

They should continue to exist, mainly for pragmatic reasons. To dissolve the country of Israel would be logistically impossible, and would be a gross violation of human rights. That being said, they cannot continue to exist as they are. Israel commits massive injustices, and they should be held accountable, though that will not happen as long as the US supports them. I think the international community needs to impose massive sanctions until Israel learns to respect human rights, but I don't think Israel should be abolished.

Any country founded on the basis of religion should not exist. Since Israelis are already there, it makes no sense to dismantle or partition their country, just as it makes no sense to boot out white people from North America to give the land back to the First Nations, even though we've stolen it from them and committed massive injustice against them.
However, I would support massive Iran-like economic sanctions until they stop colonizing occupied territory, the rights of the Arab minority are respected, that it fully secularizes (gutting the powerful Orthodox/Hassidim lobby and dismantling the religious courts, for example) and stop committing war crimes every 5 minutes. I would do the same for every country with a sizable religious basis like Saudi Arabia and Islamist countries.
A good start would be to scrap American economic assistance that has no basis to even exist. Israel is a big boy and a developed country. They do not need subsidies, and taxpayers the world over do not need to fund murderous regimes.
Religious law is backwards, archaic, and incompatible with what most of us hold as fundamental values. Israel can exist, but not in its current state.

I'm not proud of all their actions, yet I back up Israel. They've fought for their right to exist, and I believe we should allow to to continue that existence. It's also nice to see an area in the Middle East not controlled by either, a) A dictator b) A religious idiot who believes Sharia Law is the way to lead c) An oil rich pig who has the world kissing it's feet

The Jewish state was and is a great idea for it creation. However, the oppression towards the Palestinians can never be justified. Unless, they are part of Hamas which is a different story. I believe there must me a two state solution to solve all the problems in that area.

It's creation in 1949 was a great idea because the Jewish people had NOTHING. I mean what they went through... holy shit.
Now, it's just a mess.

I suggest you get your facts right first. Israel was founded on May 14th 1948. It deserves to exist after what the jews went through in the holocaust. From day one Israel has offered the Palestinians a peaceful existence. It's through the other arab countries that there is always trouble there. In 1948 seven arab nations attacked Israel & tried to wipe it out. Israel had to fight to survive. It has been fighting since.
It seems that if tha palestinians blow up israeli buses & resturants it's ok. But if a few palestinians are killed the world is up in arms.
Hamas & Hizbollah hide behind their own people in Gaza. What is Israel supposed to do?
Take it?

I presume then that you'd also agree that the roma community, various slavic ethno-groups, homosexuals, disabled, and leftists deserve their own (individual) state too then.

The problem is that Isreal retaliate with a disproportionate amount of force.
