From what you describe,being a guy myself, I would impose that he was ejaculating. From the color and the intensity at which the substance was expelled I would say it was semen, which depending age and puberty development stage can look various ways. Also as a rule of masculine thumb, in order to expel excess semen from the urethra guys generally feel the need to urinate after ejaculation has taken place. Also I might add that when a guy ejaculates he can not urinate while he is ejaculating.

Yes, it was semen. The body has a 'defence system', if you like, to prevent expelling urine into a female during intercourse, and is the same during masturbation. When boy's pee it's usually in one continuous stream. The volume of sperm is far beyond average for his age, although it would depend on the size of the spurts. If they're tiny drops then it's probably about average, but if they're larger then it's far beyond most 15 and 16 year olds, even adult males would have trouble ejaculating that much. It is normal that teenagers shoot more than older men, but not that much more. Younger teenagers don't shoot as much either. 16-21 is when the male body produces the largest amounts of seminal fluid, so between those ages it is normal, then the amount slowly starts to decrease. He could have started early though and thus produces a larger amount at a younger age.

I would suggest you tell him, otherwise he won't be very happy if he catches you. He may or may not let you have a closer look, it depends on what he feels, nobody here can predict if he'll say yes or no.

If you try and watch him, without him knowing, it might worry him if he catches you whilst he is doing it. If you tell him, pick a quiet moment, and go "softly" not to freak him out. He may like the idea (so know your boundaries if he does). He may not like the idea.

Hey Rebecca!, generally no. There are bodily function to stop urine when fully erected or about to ejaculate. But when i was younger around 14, it was the first time i was able to ejaculate, and it was clear and watery but i shot a lot and pretty far. But comparing it to what i do now.
