At what age do guys start getting physicals? I'm 13 & haven't gotten one yet. Also what do they do/check for in a physical?

I got my physicals when I was 13-14 years old. For a physical they have you pull your underwear down then they touch your balls and have you cough to one side then the other.

They will check your balls. That is the only kind of awkward part.

I live in Canada where we have socialized medicine. It costs nothing to go to the doctor/hospital. The only time I have ever been to the doctor/hospital is when I have been sick. NEVER has anyone wanted to touch my junk or stick a finger up my butt !! I play sports and never has anyone questioned my health or ability to play asking for a doctors ok to do so. Why would anyone want to have their junk touched if there was nothing wrong with it. I'm 14 and if I'm sick I'll tell someone.

I've only had the one. Your balls are touched. The doc will check ro see that they are the size and shape they should be. I was also asked to pull my foreskin back to make sure it wasn't tight.

I startedmy last year in Jr High. Always had to prior to any sports. They were more frequent in High School. Our drill was at the coaches office in locker room. Just undressed to underwear and stood inline. When it was your turn you stripped naked and walked in office with coach.Total time with doctor was about 10 minutes. Its painless but they do a full head to toe physical. My father took me to our private physician and did the same thing. Just didnt have to stand around for an hour in your underwear waiting.

This is how it needs to be in the US.

Well, there is something called Preventive medicine that consists of measures taken to prevent diseases rather than curing them or treating their symptoms. So, it's to prevent being sick, sometimes the doctor could checks you and see that something is going wrong even if you feel OK.

In the US, doctors just check your balls while you cough for hernia tests. He/She may also check the rest of your penis to make sure there are no problems or abnormalities.

When you go do your parents go in the room and the doctor tells them to wait in the waiting room, or do they just stay outside the whole time?

They do it to check for hernias...

Usually, from my experience, past the age of 13, you're alone with the doctor and your parent waits in the waiting room

I'm pretty sure in Florida it's a requirement to have a physical before they let you into middle school and definitely one before you get into highschool. I feel like I've gone through a bunch of physicals but I think it's cause I play a lot of sports.

They usually check your blood pressure, heart beat, flexibility and joints, reflexes, then they check out your cock and feel up your balls to make sure you don't have a hernia or anything like that

I've never had one, and I don't want to think about some strange doctor feeling my knob!
