I've just about had it with these teachers. I have only missed i day of school all year and that was when i was vomiting everywhere. Headache, blocked nose and dizziness i still went, i've completed all my work to the best of my ability and i always get it in on time even when it looks sloppy and i have to put up with the bad grade. Then you have those people who stay home 3 days a week playing gta, modern warfare and what ever other game 14 year old play and those 2 days they come to school they muck around. They would be given an assignment at the start of the semester and be expected to have it finished in 2 weeks and then after that 2 weeks they are reminded every lesson they are there and on the last week of school when the teacher asked for it they say they haven't started it. They get double the attention and it's really pissing me off in 10 years from now when (if) they are working they can't throw every thing off until the last week.
But the thing that is really pissing me off is that the the teachers pay more attention to the kids who neglect to do there work, than the people like me who show up every day and work so hard. And those how neglect to do their work still get good grades!
Does any one else think that the education system should be harder on those types of people?

Well that sets a higher priority for those who don't have their work done so they can get it done like you. Wouldn't you agree? Or..

I understand what you mean, but when they get that extra help it's usually during class so when they get that help on an assignment due 2 months ago, it's taking the teacher's attention away from the people who work to the best of their ability everyday and most of the people who neglect to do there work don't listen or care about that help they are getting so they are wasting the teachers time and everyone else's.

Well if they're getting their work done then what's the problem?

Well teachers are human they're bound to have favourites. There's this teacher that lets a friend in my class get away with everything but the one time I didn't have homework done because I'd been out for a week, I got detention. There was a much worse teacher last year whose favouritism was really obvious. She would give this one girl B grades and my friend C grades, then in the actual Junior Cert exams corrected anonymously that girl got a D and my friend got an A. Life isn't always fair and school is only temporary. I suppose the teachers spend more time on the other people because they want them to get to the right standard, but yes it can be annoying.

Well done for going to school and doing work. The Teacher shouldn't have to pat you on the back because you did your work. There job is to teach and make sure that everyone in the class can achieve the grades that they deserve. Teachers have one of the most stressful jobs out their so have some compassion and are expected to meet targets. I don't understand how the teacher is being unfair...

You also shouldn't dismiss someone who doesn't always behave or turn up to school- you have no idea what kind of shit they could be going through. It's not just about you

I truly understand where you're coming from, I deal with that all the time, the good overshadows the bad, always but you know what, you have to suck it up and keep on going. It'll work out for you in the end.

I have a physics teacher who gave me an F on the tests, even though everything is correct. I tried everything, complaining to the class supervisor, complaining to the teacher herself. Nope, she started accusing me of cheating, and there are people she sees cheating, but does nothing about. I am changing schools, I don't want to fail the year.

yeah im with you...i cant stand when teachers always help the lazy people more but i guess i understand why. they have to get as many kids as they can in there class to get a's so they look good to the principal.
