Should i give up or should i just keep on chasing pavements?

So ive been friends with this girl few months now i liked her and i thought she knew that i like her but what she actually knew was i like her but only as a joke.
so ive been planning all month this december to know how to ask her out i figured out to ask her out on our schools christmas party which is yesterday.I bought her chocolates a album of a band she likes and few days before the party i saw her and a guy from my class naturally i became jealous cause it looks like the guy and her are already in mutual relationship,so the day of the party came and im having second thoughts if im gonna give it to her.So i saw the guy he has this gift and i actually saw him give it to her, i actually felt depressed after that.So what do i do now? the guy is courting her i dont know what to do
should i just give up or should i just keep on chasing pavements??? :yeah:

Well, I think you should keep on chasing pavements :)
Why would you give up just because another guy courts her ? You're not less interesting than him. And if she likes you, she will appreciate that you don't want to lose her, and that you do your best not to be in this situation.
Don't underrate yourself, you could have surprises :)
