Getting Circumcised... What do I tell people...?

I'm getting a circumcision in a few months and I'm not nervous about the procedure, but I don't know what to tell people. I ride horses and I won't be able to do it for a couple of months. The girl I really like does a lot of riding so I won't be able to see her much. I can't just tell her "I'm getting circumcised #yolo", but I don't know what to do. Also what am I going to say when people ask why I'm walking funny? Apparently it can be sore for a few weeks postop.

Why are you getting circumcised? If i were you i would say I got a lymph operation because my dad had a problem like that and it was in that general area

It's not because I want to for personal reasons, the doctor is recommending it for a health problem I have. I have what's called "phimosis"; an unusual tightness of the foreskin. Sometimes it can be loosened by steroids but I tried that and it's too tight for that so we need to go for the circ.

I was circumcised when I was 13 and let me tell you it is not open heart surgery. I had it done the first part of Christmas break and went back to school when the 2nd semester started. I was even taking PE. Since we take showers at school I could not hide the fact that before Christmas I had a foreskin and after Christmas I did not. Almost all the boys at school are cut so they just accepted the fact that I was now like them. There was not much to say. As far as walking, you will be sore a few days but just wear loose sweat pants and you will be fine. My stitches came out after 1 week and I really did not have any restrictions except the doctor said no sexual actives until 3 weeks had passed. Saying you cannot ride a horse for 2 months sounds a bit long. As far as what to say you had done, just say you had a little surgery. To your trusted friends, there is nothing wrong to say you had a circumcision. If your area is like mine, almost all the boys are already circumcised so they just wonder why you wasn't cut earlier. Again, getting circumcised is not all that big of a deal but I am very glad I had it done.
