so I have this gym teacher in high school teaching my gym class who is young, (younger than 30 I think), and she teaches physical education and English and so we are doing the swimming unit and I noticed here she seems kind of flirty with the boys in the class and while in the pool she was walking around and she then said to me and some of my friends later that she likes the swimming unit the most because she likes to look at all the boys without their shirts on in the water and it gives her lots to look at.
that comment seems inappropriate. Interestingly no boy seemed angry or questioned her about it.

I honestly have zero problem with what she said, but if some kid who was around me heard it decides to go and tell someone about it, will she get in trouble? Besides is she necessarily being "perverted" by saying that?

How would you personally feel if this were said to you ? Uncomfortable?

It seems quite inappropriate. And if you look at it when you flip the situation around—if the teacher was a guy and the students were girls—let me guess, nobody would ever hear the end of it, although that's not necessarily relevant.

Yes she is a bit of a pervert and yes she probably would be in a spot of trouble if somebody reported her.

It's really inappropriate for any teacher to say something like that about students. This is only magnified because it is in a gym/locker room setting.

It's not exactly appropriate nor normal but as long as she doesn't go any farther than comments and looking I wouldn't make a big deal about it.

I have to agree with bebop, not quite appropriate, yet is not illegal for her to express her thoughts, as long as they stay in her head and do not turn into actions.

She shouldn't be saying stuff like that. Them views can be seen as perverted and she could loose her job through saying that. If you feel uncomfortable with her now tell a higer ranked teacher and that should be sorted with high priority,

No teacher should be saying things like that, it's inappropriate. It's one thing to think the thoughts without expressing them verbally or through her actions, but to approach a group of students and share them with them is definitely inappropriate.

I'm not sure about you specifically, but things like that coming from a teacher would make lots of people uncomfortable, so it would have been wise for her to keep her thoughts to herself. I don't know if you're planning to do anything about it or if you were just curious, but if it made you uncomfortable you can mention it to a "superior" at your school and they will most definitely have a chat with her. It's a bit late now though, if you were planning to report her you would have probably already done it, considering you posted this on the 18th.
If it happens again though, don't hesitate to tell someone about it.
