Hi Guys,
I'm making this thread just asking for suggestions on what to do in this situation. My girlfriend lives with one parent (divorced), and constantly deals with verbal abuse and isn't helped any by her parent. She is out of high school (18 in a couple months) and isn't able to 'progress' any where she currently is. I've thought it would be better to get her to try to find a foster home until she is able to move with me, despite being a couple of states apart but of course that will cost money. If there are no foster homes near her at all, what is another option to take? I have met her parent she lives with and it's not easy to talk to that said parent, they don't care about anything but their self and where they live isn't the nicest of places.
Having her move 1000 miles isn't easy and isn't cheap, so that isn't an option for a couple of months -- but I can't stand seeing her deal with her situation with her family as it is right now.
