Yeah. I guess my group of friends is called that, basically just hang around with a bunch of guys whereas we still communicate with like girls and stuff but my main group of friends is 4 of us. People see us as popular and such and we go to parties a lot. However, a girl told me we are seen as these guys who don't care just because we kiss lots of girls and get drunk a lot. I'm having a good time but, what do I do!?

Just do what you feel is best for you, not what anyone else may think is best. I remember earlier this year at my school I became really good friends with this girl, and we would always be together at school, just walking around and talking. Before this I would never have done this, since my friends were always guys. One of my supposed 'best friends' got kind of annoyed I was always with her, and started calling her a stupid slut and stuff like that.

Basically, the moral of the story is do what you want and ignore those who condemn it. High school doesn't even matter, in terms of friends and the social side. Once you leave chances are you will get completely new friends and never see the people from your high school again. I'm not talking from experience, as I'm still in high school, but from what others have told me.

I'm actually been friends with popular guys at school though I personally think they're bunch of arseholes doing nothing good for their future. I care for them but I don't want to interfere with their lives. i just let them do what they want that will make them happy. just stay on drugs, eat your school and don't do vegetables. you are free to do so

Plus what is "popularity" anyways, I mean I'm "popular" but I don't treat everyone like a total douche. theres two kinds of "popularity" there's the kind for people who are generally well known and all around liked and then there's the jocks who act like assholes and go out and drink and treat people like crap. I mean I'm not saying all athletic guys are like that... some of my best friends are football players, etc. (people need to pay less attention to "popularity" and more on their close friend group and do what makes them happy... don't be a wanna be... its annoying.
