not the most thought provoking titles out there, but thats pretty much how i feel. i now this is a pretty common topic here, but my crush just texted me. nothing to special, she just asked me if i wanted to be in a band. i had to decline because i hadnt played the instrument that she asked for (drums) in awhile. now, in true stalker fashion, i have her number. i want to tell her i like her, but i cant exactly just blurt it out out of the blue over text or otherwise, because that would be creepy as hell, and i am a massive bitch about saying my feelings. second problem, i dont really want to be in a relationship, because i know it will be awkward and progress painfully slow. i was thinking of having a friend "secretly" tell her, but thats kind of childish. i dont really know what to do (sidenote: i do not hang out with this girl or even try to talk to her). now go forth and solve my problems! your prize is a cookie! Well, you have to progress in baby steps. Hand out with the girl and go from there. And as for the relationship thing, I don't know what you're talking about. Bathe in the glories of a new relationship. When it progresses is when things start getting difficult.

You could strike up a conversation with her about how her drummer search is going or how the band is doing in general. Tell her you're excited to hear their stuff. Once you establish that common interest start bridging out into other topics of conversation. You can't just go from not talking to her and having no relationship whatsoever to just BAM asking her out. You have to establish yourself in her mind as someone she knows...that way you won't be a stranger asking her out. To avoid the friend zone - move quickly
