getting shorter?

im 15yo , 5'3"
is it possible to get shorter because i have not been growing in height at all lately and i feel like im getting shorter. does anyone know why? help?

I'm 13 and 5'5 and have never shrunk. I think that ur just psyching ur self out. Just let your body grow at the rate it wants to. You may not grow for a year then grow 6 inches the next year. Ull be fine

You aren't getting shorter, your friends and other people your age are probably just getting taller. I have a friend of mine that was in your situation. He was short his whole life. I was always at least as tall as him and I am 2 1/2 years younger. He didn't get another growth spurt until he was 17 and he grew a foot. Some people just start certain things later in life than others. How tall as are your parents? You are likely going to be as tall or taller than both of them.

Don't stress, I doubt you're shrinking. You'll grow when you're meant to :)

Looks like I will be the party pooper and say, you might be finished growing. And that's ok. Everybody is a different snowflake. None are the same. But you might grow. Don't worry. I just had to state that you might be finished. Permanently.

I feel the same way sometimes, but its just because ive always wanted to be taller but have never really been given the genes for it. Its just you messing with your own mind. dont worry about it too much. Just be happy with what you have.

I doubt that you are getting shorter mate, but like ThatOldTruck said, your friends are probably just growing faster than you. We all grow at different speeds though, so no worry's!

Haha, no, you can't get shorter, only taller ;)
Since you're 15 and 5'3" is your height, I think you will be a short person, but don't worry, not everyone is meant to be tall :P I'm almost the same height as you and I'm pretty sure I won't grow anymore lol

I would only worry about shrinking if you have measured youself and notice the measurment getting less over time. Also be sure to be accurate so you need to measure without shoes, at the same time of day as the measurment you are comparing with and with your head straight.

Now if you have actually stayed the same height and your peers have been getting taller that could contribute to an impression you are getting shorter but that is all relative.

Unless you were 5'4 at some point, you're not getting smaller, just some of your peers getting bigger. You may grow, you may not, that is partly genetics if you come from a tall or short family
