Any tips on how to run longish distances without getting a stitch in your side? Many thanks

Breathe deeply, and start shorter and get longer

1. Stretch and warm up really well before you start running.
2. Drink water. Stay hydrated.
3. Make realistic goals of how far you want to run, and increase these goals as you get better. Saying you're going to run 3 miles your first time running probably isn't going to happen.

I run at least a mile everyday and these are probably the most important things to keep in mind. For stitches specifically, just try to control your breathing and MAKE SURE you stretch beforehand.

The key is inhaling from your nose, apart from unhealthy in the end it will hurt on your side to inhale from your mouth. Breathe totally from your nose or breathe in with your nose and exhale with your mouth, you'll last longer that way believe me.

Breath through your nose and condition your lungs to use less oxygen. Then when you compete, breath through your mouth so you get more oxygen then you need.

Running is the best solution for fitness of the body and good health because running build our body stamina.
According to me that running is the best solution for the lungs health and reduce the extra body fat.
Running keep us active on the mentally.
