I believe that it is hormones or that you may not be aroused enough for a long sex drive

It's normal to go through periods of little or no sex drive. It can be related to mood, or the environment you're in while you're masturbating, or just sort of random. If it lasts a long period of time where NOTHING is turning you on to a point where you could masturbate, think about seeing a doctor. Otherwise it sounds normal to me.

well, at 13 it's really all starting for you, so it might not be consistent yet. The emotional issues you expressed elsewhere could be influencing it, too, stress and unhappiness put a damper on those sorts of things, too.

As puberty progresses, the sex drive increases and is more consistent. Likewise, if you can address and better manage those other emotional factors, you might find it easier to respond sexually to things.

Lots of things affect your sex drive. Mood is a big one for me. If I feel down or something then my sex drive is non-existent!
