Commander John Shepard. The guy died and lived to tell the tale. HOW CAN YOU BE MORE BADASS?
Legion- a patient, well calculated emotionless, yet funny geth (AI, synthetic race) who loves a centuries old sniper rifle.
Urdnot Wrex- a Krogan who is the exact opposite of Legion. His jokes make my day.
Half of the Trilogy lol, but these three are the best.

Dawn of War games:

Force Comander Indrick Boreale- his speeches are hilarious, and the parodies are making me laugh my ass off.
Force Commander Hairgel- Hairgel is the nickname for this nameless badass. He has a pompadour haircut all the time.

Fallout 3/New Vegas:

Yes Man- a funny robot which will do whatever you say.
Muggy- a little robot which has an obsession for cleaning mugs.
Toaster- he thinks he can burn the world.
Moira- she makes you disarm mines while under sniper fire, get chased by oversized crabs, get bit by oversized moles just so she can write a book nobody will read.
Mean Sonofabitch- a super mutant who cannot speak , but is a funny character.

Hahaa at least i know you didnt play the originals then. In the originals dante's father (demon) fell in love with his mother (human) and had half demon children (no angels). In the "reboot" known as DmC you are 100% correct and they ARE nephilim but that wasnt always the case. Imo the originals were better

I did play DMC 3 & 4, the thing is I never watched most of the cutscenes.

Sometimes it's not worth it, wether it might just be the story repeating itself rather than continuing or that the earlier games just aren't as good, apparently DMC2 is bad and the 1st looks really dated so I don't intend on playing them.

2 was bad because the story was awful and it was ALL combat. 1 is a bit dated BUT it was so good that it will always be a great classic to play. I replayed it recently and still loved it xD

Whoa slow down. A story does not make a game. The combat is fine just repetitive like alot of games. 1 is still awesome but a series is a series. If you like a series imo you should play all of its games even if they are bad

DMC 2 had some bad reviews for having a combat system that doesn't feel fluid.

Besides, many series doesn't even have a story continuing from games to games, such as my personal favorite, Final Fantasy.

Do you always trust the reviews? Reviews are opinions which everyone is entitled to and are not always what you will think. I still think many games deserve higher and some deserve lower scores. I guess I'm trying to say reviews dont make a game

I got to agree with that, sometimes you better make yourself your own opinion but well, when many reviewers says it's flawed, chances are that it is and when everyone are praising a game, chances are it's worth playing.

I mostly find video reviews worthy where you can see the game while the reviewer is commenting it but then again, if it's not enough to make up my mind i might look for a demo or a rental.

The words overated and underated does exist for a reason and it's why I won't just rely on a few scores to dismiss a game or not, if I'm really interested into a game I will want to try it even if it has a few 4/10 or 40% scores.

I am very mixed about the reboot. I like the concept a lot and if it were a different game with different names i would have fallen in love with it. However since i played ALL the originals i cant call new dante "Dante". Same for vergil.

On its own its a great game. I just think it shouldnt be a DmC.

On the contrary, I think they captured the combat style of the Capcom games so well that if they named it anything else, they would have been sued for plagiarism hehe.

Then again, it's true they could have started a new series with the same style, like they did with Chaos Legions years ago.

But I even think they improved the whole thing even though I prefer the gothic art style of the 4th game and the others.

Also, its true with any reboot that when they change characters you already know and love it can be repealing.
