Yeast extract. You either love it or you hate it. It's like Vegemite. You put it on toast.

It tastes like Satan took every single tainted soul in Hell, added a fuckton of salt, put it in a jar, and unleashed the unholy creation on the human race.

When you do, definitely put it on something. It's not meant to be eaten straight, lol, but sure is funny when someone does try it straight.

My one friend's family is from South Africa and they had me tried it - it's like someone said before you either love it or hate - I took one bite and found it pretty gross - couldn't finish it, my friend on the other hand can't seem to get enough of it.

Pretty much have it in my pack up at school everyday, and yeah Lodan it is good enough to ear from the glass jar. I think marmite originally came from the brown goo at the bottom of bear barrels when brewed... Don't know if this is correct tho

Whats vegemite?
Basically, the trio is promite, marmite, and vegemite. My opinion, promite's the sweet(er) one and mildest, vegemite is the saltiest, and marmite's kind of in the middle and sugarless. Chiefly, promite and vegemite are the Australian ones and marmite's British. There's a New Zealand variety of marmite but it's crap.

It is a meat substitute jelly-like thing, which has polarised opinions by its taste. Some love it, most think it's horrendous. I haven't tasted it yet, I think I'll hate it. That's fine though, I don't need to have a substitute for meat.
