I'm about as social as a brick wall!

Like the title says, I'm not very social, I don't have many friends and I want that to change!

I feel like I want to get out there and be with people, I'm just not good at it!

I am not social by nature for clinical reasons.
I like ppl but can not interact. Tips help a little
but they mainly work for ppl who have a more
natural ability to socialize. Just do not think you
are the only one. There are many of us.

Welcome to the club :P If yo're trying to talk to people it helps to have a common interest, so see if you have something in common with other people and go from there. Trust me it makes it a lot easier!

Trying approaching people who have common interest with you. If you see someone you would like to know just go for it. The key thing is not to over think it. :)

Read about current affairs, whether that is in celebrities, science or politics. You can chat about stuff that is happening now. I had this problem, I just didn't talk about ANYTHING, then I started reading the news and watching it and my social circles expanded. Even if your friends don't watch or read the news, you can tell them about it and that will keep them interested. Try looking at youtube channels such as one minutes news, they post videos that are a minute long (obviously). It will give you a rough idea of what's happening at the moment.
