I just thought I'd tell you all about a new laptop I bought that I've had since October.

2 GHz Intel Quad-Core i7 (with hyper-threading, so it's kinda like 8 cores).
8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM.
15" display at 2880 x 1800 resolution.
256GB Flash storage

So you're probably thinking "seems like an OK-Good laptop"
But then when I tell you it's a MacBook, you'll be thinking "What a piece of junk".

It's an amazing but expensive laptop

As long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters.

For the stability you get from the Mac, it's worth the extra price. The quality of the components and case makes a huge difference too! Must be a Retina?

I considered getting the more expensive MacBook with better graphics, but for what I'll be using this laptop for, I doubt I'll need it (so far I've not missed it). If I ever get a 4K display I'll probably regret not having discrete graphics though, this laptop can barely output to 4K. Plus, if I ever need to do anything graphics intensive I still have my desktop.

I agree. I really love the build quality and care put into Apple devices. I've owned quite a lot of Apple devices and loved them all. And yes, it's the new Retina MacBook.

I payed £1,700 (which converts to $2,771USD) but if I'd have bought it in the USA it would've cost me $1,999. Love how they charge a whole load more just because I'm in another country >_>

And I'm glad your Vaio does what you want it to do, nothing sucks more than spending a load of money on something and then being disappointed because it wasn't as good as you expected.
