I have had this poem sort of written in my head for nearly a year now. I actually finally wrote it down for the first time today for my English portfolio. I want to see what you guys think about it:

Beneath the Monarch

The depths of degradation
Spreads itself across a nation
While followers follow fables
Of a man
Who was once considered stable

I might suggest putting the fourth line into the fifth, just to make it read better, without what i consider an awkward pause.
