I'm working on a film trilogy starting this January

For the past almost three years I've been trying to write and construct a film trilogy that's fairly personal to me. Through my life journeys I've really started to get a handle on how life is and the themes that we deal with every day and I decided I wanted to make a film trilogy about modern life in modern America and what people are going through and will be going through for a very long time. The first film I wanted to deal mainly with the crime/law aspect of the country and show what people go through in those situations. How both sides suffer and things like that. The second film I wanted to focus more on the religion and love side of the country and how religion and relationships affect our daily lives and show what's dark and gritty about things we typically find to be good. And finally, the third film I would focus more on politics and the lengths people go to do the right or wrong thing. And if you're wondering, yes this is most definitely a written drama so it won't be documentary style or anything. I myself am playing a character (a Detective) and I really hope to get all three out in the 2014-2015 time slot. I would love to hear you guys' feedback!

Films are probably the most powerful and impacting thing in the world, no doubt. No government, teacher or parent can make someone pay to sit in a room and give their utmost attention for two hours or more.


Before you start thinking too far ahead - focus on making a good stride with your first film. No point making a masterpiece of no one's going to see it!

It sounds like a good idea. You could set it out so the film focuses on several different people's experiences with your chosen film and see how they affect each other's individual journeys and show how we're all interconnected or something?

Yeah I'm really trying to work into a way where it's focused on a select central set of characters while also showing the various people around them. I'm going to try and show every type of person out there and the struggles they go through.
