I make exceptions for Little Drummer Boy, Jingle Bells, and a few other original Christmas songs.

It's the crap that gets played over and over and over and over again in retail. I get it. You want to get people in the holiday spirit so they'll buy your merch, but give it a rest! Can anyone relate?

I have to say that I agree as well. I'm kinda sick of the same 10 songs that are constantly recovered and redone by everyone.
They're good songs, but they kinda got worn out :/

Maybe it does help them sell their merch but when a Christmas song comes on in a shop I get out as quickly as possible.

Yes, but I try and be optimistic and enjoy it anyways.

No, I disagree. I absolutely love Christmas Music, it's like a tradition to listen to it now. It makes me happy listening to the songs, I don't really care about the commercial side of it all, I just enjoy the music.

Christmas music is so annoying but it makes a change from listening to 'starships were meant to flyyy' and all that other crap. Christmas overall is annoying. For months before the date lights are up, trees are up, xmas jumpers are brought. Yeah hate the season basically.

And some Christmas music has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas at all, and yet it is not to be played except at Christmas.

While a lot of Christmas songs like "Last Christmas", "12 Days of Christmas", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", "White Christmas", "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer", and the like all seem to receive too much airplay, I thoroughly enjoy listening to them because they help establish that 'vibe' that often I seem to miss. And by vibe, I mean a sense of unity. Like, it's almost a universal thing; every store plays these types of songs and we all listen to the same thing. Too often, during the other eleven months, we sort of segregate ourselves by listening to other types of music, but during this time we all gather together by listening to the same thing.

I find it rather beautiful.

Christmas isn't a happy holiday and it makes me want to vomit when happiness is forced down my throat. Many people hate feeling sad and I have to feel sad otherwise I get so numb; I don't feel the happiness if I don't feel enough sadness. I want to feel every emotion that comes with Christmas and here's Christmas number #2 since the glue keeping my mum's family together was washed away. Another boring Christmas with my parents and my half-siblings in a town I never want to go back to because it makes me relive the worst time of my life.

AKA, my second favourite Christmas song.

I have always like it.
To me the entire month of Dec basically is Christmas.
There are some that I don't like of course - but that is
also true of regular music I hear being played.

I actually really love Christmas songs, they make Christmas seem a bit more special to me and I cant' help humming along to them when I hear them! ;) I really like covers of traditional Christmas songs by bands I like - helps change it up a bit :)

Ugh, yeah I gotta agree. With a few exceptions, Christmas music annoys me. I don't mind it in stores just when it comes on the radio...

Does this mean you hate 'Happy Birthday' and 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' too? The reason why they're played so much is because people love them! I know I do (:
