From what you've described and your knowledge of the separate people within your mind, this could be a repressed alter. This could also be a psychological break. I understand entirely what you mean regarding not wanting another person in your head.

I'm not diagnosed with it for a reason. It's a good thing you aren't losing time, and in general I don't either. It's not normal per se, but not uncommon to be able to retain knowledge of events but no control. Have you tried a written conversation with the "other guy" while alone? Perhaps try two different colored pens, you choose one and they get the other? Ask him about what happened and get him to listen?

The "spastic writing you dont remember penning"? this could be a form of automatic writing, which is semi common in DID individuals, or those experiences multiple individuals. It's also semi common to have angry people about some form of trauma. Perhaps the scary stories antagonized the "other guy" from those memories? I can't say for sure, but you aren't alone in the "can't control but are aware" department. Feel free to talk me, alright?

There's another dissociative disorder which is DD-NOS (Dissociative Disorder - No Otherwise Specified). Usually people who show one or more DD symptoms but don't meet the DSM criteria to be diagnosed, are labeled with it.
I might have a Factitional Disorder or DID and long periods of denial, because I show all the DID symptoms for a few months and then some disappear.
Still it's no big deal, DID is more common than we think and it's just because of the social stigma that it's underdiagnosed.
