View Full Version : Feeling of being watched constantly

I'm not hugely sure if this belongs here, so if it doesn't I'm sorry.
So ever since I was quite young, I've gotten this feeling that people in photos are watching me, as if that person could actually see real time what I was doing - and it's been an on and off thing for a few months at a time for a few years.
It came back again a little while ago, but instead of just feeling that my photographs are watching me, I feel like wherever I go there is someone, or something watching me or following me. It's almost as if I believe there are tiny, hidden cameras inside every room of my house, and virtually every other place I visit.
It's just kind of frustrating I suppose because even though I know I'm being silly, I can't shake the feeling and I'm constantly on edge, it's like I can never be alone.
So I guess what I just wanted to kind of ask, was if this kind of thing happens to anyone else? Or any ideas about what might help 'shake off' the feeling of paranoia?

It's called paranoia or Personality disorder.
Individuals with this disorder assume that other people will exploit, harm, or deceive them, even if no evidence exists to support this expectation.
There are 2 reasons why this would happen, you are taking drugs or probably this is who you are,a paranoid person, there is not a realy good explination of why this is happening but i suggest that you should try your best to control your emotions and clear your mind of everything related to it.

I assume this is happening only when you are alone, right?

Haha well I'm not taking drugs so I guess I must just be paranoid then ;) And yeah, I think it is mainly when I'm alone, because there are less distractions around. But thanks :) Hopefully it's something I'll just grow out of..

Eh, That's what prevents you from doing embarasing things in public, like scratching or :P picking your nose LOL

Ohhh I used to look for cameras, now that I think of it. I kinda just grew out of it and stopped caring if there are any or not. Who cares what other eyes see. It became too much work to worry like that >.>
