Anyone ever participated in an exchange program?

So i'm trying to get into an exchange program in US for 10 months. Any of you ever participated in this kind of thing? Did you like it? Best/worst moments?

I moved to the US from Spain a year ago and the experience has been really good so far, you should definitely go for it. It was hard at first mainly because of the language barrier, but if you speak English fluently you shouldn't have any problem.

I haven't, but there's been quite a few exchange students at my school in the last year and a half. I believe it had somebody from Germany and another from Chile, but I'm not sure.

My sister did one to japan, and we hosted a japanese exchange student. both were tons of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's totally worth it!

I know two people who participated in an exchange program. One went to the US and she really loved it. The other one went to Italy, she liked it two, but she said the language was a big problem, and she also had some trouble adapting to the new culture and environment. But I think overall it is a good experience.
