I saw this movie with girls from Europe and lots of them didn't shave their legs or armpits?? Is that normal for there? For girls here in North America, if you had the choice would you stop shaving your legs and pits? I have to be honest when I saw that I was like ewwww, not for me!

I live in Europe (UK), and every girl who I'm close enough to know about shaves.

God no ! What a degrading cliché.
I'm from Europe and I can swear that ALL the girls in my high school shave.
In Europe there are lots of nasty clichés about people in North America and I chose not to believe them, 'cause I wouldn't see further than the end of my nose.
PS : we also take showers and use soap, funny, eh ?

You shouldn't have to shave to be socially accepted, but everyone has their own preferences, I guess.

Here in Australia it's not very common but I suppose there's some sort of cultural difference which has made it a popular choice in Europe. Although, it could just be your typical cultural stereotype. You wouldn't really know unless there was a shaved armpit census!

I mean, I know a lot of girls who shave much less frequent in the winter and stuff.. But no one that doesn't shave at all. I'll admit that I let my legs go a bit longer than you boys would probably find acceptable, but I'm not wearing skirts, my boyfriend isn't here... So who cares? I still shave, just less often as I would in the summer or if I was having sex. Most girls I know do. I remember in the locker room in 9th grade a bunch of the upperclassmen were like "Well, Homecoming is over, I can stop shaving now!"

A movie isn't the reality. For sure there are women who don't shave but it's not the average.
