Hi. So basically me and my boyfriend have been together two months officially (it would be six/seven months if we actually made it official instead of being a couple and not labelling it) and we literally adore each other. He's more than I could ask for and he makes me happy but I have a habit of pushing him away and being very cold towards him if he even says the slightest thing wrong. It's something that's been bothering me a lot now because I noticed I started doing it as my mam does it a lot with her fiancé and I always vowed I never would but I don't know why it happens and is there anything I can do to stop it happening? It's not putting stress on us yet because he's dealt it for around a year now but I'm scared incase it gets too much and I don't like it myself, but I just can't stop. Help?!

I would talk to him about it. Tell him you don't mean to be like that but you can't help it. Remind him how much you adore him and how you truly don't mean to ever hurt him. He'll likely accept this and try to work out a way with you so that it doesn't become a huge problem. :)

So I have a few queries: 1. does he notice or seem affected, and 2. have you talked to him about it, 3. have you tried apologizing? I would suggest talking to him.

He does notice and it does upset him and I apologise after every time and he says he understands but likes to put it behind us as a couple and doesn't like to talk about it much, the only thing he doesn't like to talk about really. I think I will try to explain myself fully as soon as I can. Thank you.
