Well, every forum I know of has one or
more threads with viewers about it. The
only death that has eclipsed it is Paul Walker.
So my guess is that is why MacFarlane pulled
this stunt. He is an insane genius, nothing
he does isn't well thought out and doesn't
have some sort of gimmick or catch to it.

Seth MacFarlane has been wanting to kill the series for ages, they didnt let him so he killed Brian instead

Brian is coming back (as is Cleveland and his family, just FYI). Look up the episode list for the remaining ones in this season. A few have Brian's name in the title. This is all just a publicity stunt.

Sure it does. Family Guy has been pushed to the backburner by people who once loved the show. And it's not getting many new fans. But killing Brian put it back in the spotlight, and I'm sure their ratings will go up as result.

It's stupid. I dislike family guy and the fact that everyone was getting so worked up about a TV show killing off a cartoon dog really annoyed me. I mean, it's a cartoon and there were literally people crying over it. Then the show does the stupid, idiotic thing of bringing back this character JUST to get people even more worked up about it. Sure it created a massive buzz for the show which I expect was exactly what they were hoping for but to me it makes no sense why people gave such a massive damn about it.
