Anyone ever try it. I've only heard of it. If so how is it?

Those things look unreal. I have a friend who really enjoys it and I had it described to me as "watery and citrusy" when I watched her eat one. It's very colorful on the outside, but the inside's just plain white with little black seeds. I almost regret not trying it but, to be fair, it didn't really look all that appetizing from the outside.

I'd compare it to an apple or a pear, maybe, but softer; it's not crunchy at all.

I had one once. I wasn't too impressed though; it tasted like a kiwi without the tartness.

Less apple/pear like, more of a kiwi substance inside. It's actually very good, when you catch a ripe and unbruised one, it's amazing. It melts in your mouth and tastes pear like, ish. It's hard to explain :P It leaves an aftertaste of sweetness.
