Has anyone here seen the newest episode, also the 50th anniversary episode: The day of the Doctor?

Yes, I liked it how it all folded into place. Quite clever.

Yep I loved it :D I was on a 7 hour bus journey while it was on and I was worried I was going to miss it but luckily there was a repeat. I didn't really like the Zygons though.

Yeah. It wasn't that great to me. Screwed up the plotline. Galilfrey was still there during the time of the 10th Doctor, and here they say the War Doctor destroyed it. Wow.

I can see that [-]excuse[/-] working sometimes, but the show is really taking an odd turn. I understand it's fictional and all that, but you'd think that it'd have some kind of continuity to it.
Though at the same time I can see why the writer's did it. There's only so many places the "Last of the time lords" storyline can go before it gets repetitive and people become less interested. I think it'll be very interesting to see how the next Doctor(s) look for/find Galifrey and what will happen, but it does leave you kind of questioning (rebooted) seasons 1-7, since technically they never happened from the perspective of 11.
Anyway, ranting aside, I think it was a successful episode. It was interesting and tied a lot of things together (maybe even a bit too much), but I'm looking forward to see where the writers are going to take it from here.

I liked it, I just feel like it was a strange attempt on Moffat's part to go "No wait, Gallifrey is still here! Russell was jk" cause otherwise they can't keep milking Doctor Who since War Doctor makes Peter Capaldi the last doctor. So he had to bring Gallifrey back so the Doctor could go get more regenerations.
Ten was a ball of angst for three seasons, just for no particular reason. *shrug*
In other news, cabinet joke is really getting old.

I had to watch it three times before I really liked it. The War Doctor has to be before the 9th, because 9th told Rose he was last and tree lady felt sorry for his loss is first reboot episode.
Totally agree that Gallifrey needed to come back to keep my favorite show going after last doctor is finished.

You guys are forgettign that they won't remember it; I think that Moffet is trying to plan out HOW the Doctor is going to attempt to find Gallifrey. I just hate how they can't rememebr that they DIDN'T destroy it, but actually saved it.

I thought the Christmas episode was a fitting send off for Matt Smith ad or wick regeneration was very surprising. I'm looking forward to a new series with a new face

One of the few good episodes of Matt Smith's reign. Not down to him, more the stupidity of Moffat's over-complicated storylines.
