I am 17 years old. I have never had a girlfriend before. This always makes me feel bad about myself and i feel so lonely sometimes. I have only a very few friends and none of them are girls. I have no idea how i can even meet a nice girl. I really wish i could have a beautiful girlfriend who i can be with and do things like hugging, kissing, holding hands, texting each other, hanging out and talking to each other, and just being there for each other. I want to know what it is like to be loved by a girl i really like. There's this one girl that was in my gym class that i thought was so pretty. I dont know who she is and i dont talk to her at all. I see her sometimes and i wish i could try talking to her but i just dont have the courage to do so.
Does anyone else feel similar to me. What can i do?

Same
And the worst part is that I know girls find the sad-because-I'm-single thing to be really stupid and repelling. It's a vicious circle.

First off, there is nothing wrong with you because you haven't had a girlfriend yet. It means that you know you can survive on your own instead of becoming of those people that just HAS TO HAVE a significant other, which I think is a helluva lot worse than being on your own. For me, (and given I am out of high school so take this as a grain of salt because every girl is different) nothing impresses me more than when a guy just comes up and talks to me! I am not a monster. I am not going to shoo you away like you are some kind of peasant. And if a girl does automatically reject you, then she definitely is not worth your time anyways. Confidence is key. I know that sounds hard, but believe in yourself. There's nothing wrong with you, you just gotta believe in yourself. You know you deserve a good girl. You know that you will treat her right. So, in remembering that, don't force a relationship. Someone is gonna come along and be completely smitten with you. Keep your chin up.

I dont even know how i would be able to go up and talk to her. I dont know what i could say. Right now i am in health this quarter instead of gym so i dont really ever see her. She does pass by my locker during a certain time of the school day almost every day though. How could i just stop her and start talking to her.

Just start a conversation and be yourself, have confidence and let her see the real you.

There are many more of us 17 and 18 year-olds who have not been in a relationship before. It is not a requirement before turning 18 or whatever, but rather something entered when it feels right. But I know what you mean, it can hurt :( . But live with hope: you will find someone who likes you back.
