Hi everyone. So I have an Acer Revo 70 desktop that I use. Runs well but I'm thinking of upgrading the RAM to get a little more out of it. How much RAM can be added on top of the 2 GB it already has? My research on the web seems inconclusive...How far can I easily upgrade it? Thanks in advance

Judging by what I know of the Acer Revo 70 a safe estimate would probably be 4 GB RAM as the tops, which isn't bad honestly.

That's what I thought. Thanks David. I mean, 4 GB should be enough for my needs

Oh, also would it matter what speed of RAM I get? I know that I have to get DDR3, but does the speed have to match up with what's currently in my computer? If so, what is that speed?

Merged double post. -Cygnus David

I'm all set now. I found what I needed.

RAM adjusts itself to the slowest module, so if I recall correctly, that shouldn't be a problem.

Is your system 32-bit or 64-bit?

32-bit Windows systems can only handle up to 3GB of RAM.

So I would be fine if I installed DDR3-1066 if my machine has DDR3-1666 as the stock RAM?

And it is 64-bit Windows
