View Full Version : "Addicted" to hugs and cuddling?

Not sure where to post this... But here goes.

As weird as it may seem, I think I'm somewhat addicted to hugging, cuddling, snuggling, whatever you want to call it.
My "old" friends are kind of anti-hug. They believe it should be saved for someone special (Kind of stupid, I know.)

Ever since I started college, I've met a lot of good people, as well as two (although now mainly one) girl who I really consider my best friend. I won't go into the details, but the point is. I can't get enough of hugging her, and snuggling and whatnot.

Fortunately she's a real cuddle-person as well, so that's a win! :)
I'm just a little confused because nobody I know seems to be so obsessed with this kind of physical contact. Like, I'm REALLY crazy obsessed with it. It's not like I go out and hug every stranger I see, but for example when I'm cuddling with my friend, I don't want to let go because I just like it so much. It really slows my breathing and relaxes me. Which is rare. I hardly ever relax. Might it be because I've been alone in the past so long and never really felt like I had anyone? :what:

Oh, and I'm also curious if anyone's the same way!
Sorry if I'm being a bit vague. I'm not good at explaining these things. Ask me whatever you want to know as well.

I have been like that with my parents
and grandparents. Just to feel safe and grounded.
But now I am too old for it. More like snuggle up against than cuddle now.
But now I have a friend to cuddle with who likes cuddling.
Outside of that I do not like to be touched much less hugged.
Except of the cyber hugging I do here :P
