I have an interesting question for all of you. I wanted to see what each of you think would have happened to the world in detail if the following people hadn't suffered the fates or tragedies that stopped their stories short within the history timeline.

Please respond to each historical figure individually, and do not let any other figure determine what you say about another based off of your changes.

Adolf Hitler: What Would Have Happened If He Hadn't Killed Himself? Likewise With Eva?

Napoleon: Suppose The Russians Hadn't Attempted Their "Scorched-Earth" Strategy To Starve And Freeze Napoleon's Forces, What Then?

Abraham Lincoln: What If John Wilkes Booth Hadn't Shot Him In The Theater? What If His Not-So-Well-Known Accomplice Had Carried Out His Task To Assassinate Vice President Andrew Johnson On The Same Night? What If Lincoln Survived The Shot?

John F. Kennedy: What If He Wasn't Assassinated By Lee Harvey Oswald (Regardless of the conspiracy theories)?
Lee Harvey Oswald: What If He Hadn't Been Assassinated Before His Trial? What Secrets Could He Have Revealed?

Martin Luther King Jr.: What If He Hadn't Been Killed? What Would The Future Of The Civil Rights Movement Have Been Like?

Thank You All For Your Responses And Let Me Know If I Should Do More Of These In The Future. You May Answer As Many As You Like, No Need To Answer Them All. Simply Provide Detail In Your Opinions And Have Fun With It! :D

Well, Hitler probably would have gone down anyway. The war was lost by the time he off'd himself. I suppose he would have been put on trial and imprisoned, but honestly, they death he made for himself was probably a lot better than what his people would have done to him, given the chance.

I have no idea about Napoleon. I don't know enough about it to say.

As for Lincoln, I don't think much would have changed there either. Maybe he would have gotten the chance to do a bit more, no doubt he would have worked as long and tirelessly as he could to defend the things he stood for.

Kennedy? (Today marks the 50th anniversary of his assassination, you know) Let's be honest here. Kennedy really wasn't such an influential President. He was young and handsome, a womanizer, and loved more for his image than his policies. However, if he had not been assassinated, maybe civil rights would have progressed faster. Or maybe he would have spent five more years in the White House, posing for photographs.

And the assassin, Oswald? I doubt anything would have come from that. I don't believe in conspiracy theories much, as they seem to be a waste of time, so I think Oswald would admit to killing the President, and maybe he would ramble about why he did it, and then he would have been sent to prison, where he would have stayed until his death.

Now, Martin Luther King Jr? There's one I could have an opinion on. Civil rights progressed on all right without him, but can you imagine the things he could have done, given more time? The lives he could have changed? The lives he could have saved, on both sides?
