Perhaps in the contact info section on profiles there could be a space for PSN/Xbox LIVE/Steam profiles?

I'm not sure about on profiles; but on posts, they're not allowed. I made that mistake last night! :facepalm:

Yeah I know not on posts. But if you can have emails, skypes, and blogs on profiles I don't see why you shouldn't be able to put gaming profiles.

I believe they are not allowed because there's no security and I believe no archive of contact, but I don't use any of them so I could be wrong. There is legitimate reasons why it's not allowed though.

You can divulge that information via a PM to any specific users, as well as the numerous social groups for that purpose

This is correct. You can also put it in the "About me" section in your profile.

This wouldn't work for the same reason we don't allow them in signatures - because it'd be publicly visible.


Everything else aside, I don't think this is what VT needs, and it probably won't happen, at least for now.
