why is it so hard

so i am a pretty confident guy, at least when i am around my friends. but there is this one girl who i cant be confident around. at all. you can literally hear my confidence plummet to the ground and shatter spectacularly into a million peices. it is tragically beautiful. but anyway, i have had a crush on her for the better part of 4 years. last week, she moved into the house across from mine. we usually walk home together from school (and by together i mean in awkward silence). do any of you have any tips as to getting my confidence up?

Maybe try to know her better, asking questions about her family, friends, her hobbies, and give her the same information. Then you could just ask her if she wanted to lunch with her or go somewhere while you going home from school.

Try the be normal on the way home and start a conversation.Usually the other person wants to talk to. Just say hey you know whats weird we never talk and we walk home together and laugh! that's a good way to start off a conversation. After that just ask how she is doing and what her grades are and try to relate to her.:)

All jokes asides though, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I am the same way, and from what I've seen and learned, conversation is key. Bring up a topic when walking home like, for example, "Hey, so I was curious, what kind of music do you listen to?" That question alone can branch out to a full blown conversation about musical tastes, who is a good music artists, who is a bad one, etc...

Of course, you can take the "silent approach" where you find something she likes(band, tv show, movie, clothing, etc...) and "casually" bring it up.

This one girl I met had a big OF logo on her folder, so I used that to get her attention by writing it on a white board during some free time at school. She noticed, asked if I like OF too and boom, we started talking more. Of course, don't do it unless you like she likes as well. Nothing turns a women off more than a fake(trust me, I know .-.).

Sorry for the long post, but I love to give different ways to help out friendships, relationships, you name it lol. :D
