Does anyone else here find summer the most depressing time of year?

I've hated summer my whole life. But I LOVE winter and fall and early spring when its still cold! The colder the better. I also like it dark. My favorite time of year is when it gets dark early and stays dark most of the day. I feel most alive this time of year but not summer. Its yucky! :Ick: :yuck: its hot and sticky and blindingly bright and hot sun that burns me and causes me severe migraines. And did I mention its Way too hot!

Most people love summer and hate winter. They find this time of year depressing. But actually I wish it were this time of year all year! I don't know anyone else like me. Everyone's into sun and hot and all things ick!

I ask this here as I think it relates to peoples winter depression. Even though I don't have it. Im curious if there's anyone else who LIKES this time of year and Dislikes summer like me? :)

There are things I like about winter, like the holidays and family time, and the hopeful, happy aspect of it. However, I feel as though now (especially in my family) it just seems to cause financial stress and sadness because we can't have that beautiful, cookie-cutter holiday seasons that some people are so lucky to have. That's why it can be depressing. Summer for me is more stress-free and filled with opportunities to enjoy life :)

That's interesting! Its stress free for me too, no school or crap but idk. I'd rather that time be during winter and college during summer. I think I could really enjoy things if it were reversed.

I don't have cookie cuter holidays either, I wish I did. I'm personally more financially stressed in summer BC I run the ac full blast non stop LOL! Winter I keep my space at 50°f. I only run a heater during shower so it's not nippy when iI get out. Hehe!

I do love winter.
And I like summer too, but I have to admit I'm often depressed at this period of the year. Maybe because I've time to think about my life and my problems.

I don't really like summer, gets far too hot and too many storms. I prefer the winter. You're not the only one.

Most people love summer and hate winter.
Normally that's me. But this year I decided I would just be grateful for life at all and for being here. There are many people who wish that they could see snow just once, and I see it every winter. It is November 24th, and it snowed for the first time last night. It was only a little tiny bit and it's melting now that the temperature is rising, but still.
I have never thought of summer depressing and winter the opposite, but it's different for everyone.

The main reason I would get a mood drop during summer is no school which means fewer people around most days.
But I like every time of the year for it's own reasons.

I like summer long as its over cast, windy and below 65°f. Haha! Which is like one day out of the entre summer lol. I'm sure part of the deal is my migraines that are enduced by bright light or high heat. But it still just seams yucky to me.
I like night time in the summer except for mosquitoes! They give me spaz convulsions when they buzz n my ear! Lol its hysterical! I start twitching and jerking uncontrollably. Its way worse than nails on a chalk board! I love listening to the crickets and frogs, but day time eh... Too hot.

Idk, summer just makes me uncomfortable and feel yucky. Kinda sick actually. I just don't like it.

I always wonder if any one else is like me. Maybe someone back in Russia lol I'd honestly love the northern climate there!

I cannot stand the Summer! My birthday is early September but Nature acts like it is Autumn by then. I love Autumn and I love Winter, but Summer is way too hot and dreary!
