Guys, how would you feel if another guy (rather than a girl) told you that you had a hot body.
Similarly, girls, how would you feel if another girl told you that you were hot?

I think it's a huge compliment when girls tell me that.
I guess in my mind, I just disregard compliments I get from men, because I'm like, they'd say anything to get in my pants, so screw that, but girls don't have to compliment you, if they do it, you know they mean it.

I had a girl who I'm not particularly close with tell me I had a nice body a few weeks ago. It was sweet and I appreciated the compliment, even if it was a little unexpected.

This has actually happened to me before. I was in a mall with my girlfriend a while back, and this guy walked up to me and said I was really hot. At first, I was creeped out to a really high degree. Now that I think of it, it was a compliment that I should accept.

I have no problems with this whatsoever. Either way, it's a compliment.
Wonder.

Saying I have a hot body? I'd brush them off as trying to get with me.
Saying a more subtle compliment about my body? Thank them, appreciate it, and move on.

I've had this happen to me before. She didn't say I had a "hot" body, she was just like "you look really good, you have a really great body". I took it as a huge compliment, especially because it came from another girl. Females are so critical and we're held to such high standards.

I would be flattered :) because I know that I am being noticed

I would more than likely blush a deep shade of red and be extremely flattered. I tend to stay out of the limelight, so whenever someone takes notice of me, comments like this are greatly accepted. :)

Extremely flattered...probably even moreso than if a guy complimented my body.

I'd just smile at him and say thank you. I'd actually be largely indifferent, but He said it and that deserves recognition. It takes courage.

Well I am gay, but honestly I would be surprised because I'm not hot. Though don't get me wrong it's not a self confidence thing, I have a pretty face but, I do NOT have a nice body.

I'd love it! Girls always talk about each others' looks why can't we? It's like if your bro tells you that you look weird because your shirt was inside out. it's the same thing, just about a body instead.

I wouldn't mind. Some guys already told me, when I was younger and had dimples, that I had a "cute" face, and I just laughed.

Girls have said that to me including my friend's mother who said I have a nice ass :P I take it as a compliment. But if the girl isn't straight I tend to turn extremely red :P

I usually say thank you, and lose some of my breath, but I dont usually turn red, etc, because I feel if I physically expressed the idea of crushing on them, things will not turn out good at all.

It's always surprising when another girl tells me that (not that it happens that often), but I generally view those as more genuine comments than when guys tell me. I think guys often just want to hook up, girls are more genuine.

Seriously not a issue for me either way. If a girl says that to me, awesome! if I get a compliment from a guy, I take it as just that a compliment, nothing else because I'm into girls. Not that I don't like gay guys , some of my friends are gay and its chill. I just want to be with a girl instead.

I'd take it as a compliment either way. Being hit on is flattering. Never happens to me.

From whoever it is from, this sentence remains a compliment.
As long as it remains in words, I can't figure out what's the problem.

I don't care. My family does but they are very strict and traditional, I am too but not like that. I have no problem with a complement but do not hit on me, guy or girl.

What I imagine: I'd calmly give him a bright captivating smile and say "Thanks, so do you!" and we would both stop what we were doing, chat casually, exchange contact info and you know the rest.
What would actually happen:
Person: Hey you have a hot body!
Me: (Pause, smile nervously) Thanks....umm I appreciate it....(continues walking then turns back)... umm oh yeah, you also seem good, I mean look good like someone who usually always is normally good, looks good...well better than good....uumm like super good, ya know?
Guy: (O.o) Uumm...thanks?
Me: "Haha, I'm a nervous idiot as you can plainly see...so umm, nice chatting with ya, I gotta go do something, but I'll see you soon sometime! (I walk away whispering) "Wow, that was an epic fail..."
Guy: (O.o)

Well I compliment my sisters all the time. And my friends so I don't think it's a big deal. When I was still really new at my current school, this girl and a bunch of her friends(both male and female) called me to them to tell me they thought I was really pretty.I was really flattered and I'm super shy so I obviously blushed my face off.

I'd take it as a compliment, if a girl told me I was good looking I'd be thinking great!, but I'd be thinking the same if I got told by a guy too, probably just because I'm being complimented tbh

I feel very flattered when other girls give me compliments. I mean, I take it as a genuine compliment, because nothing is forcing them to compliment me.
Getting compliments from guys is a bit different. I get flattered when they call me things like beautiful or pretty, but hot? I get flattered of course, but there is no way that I am going to thank them for that comment, because if they resort to words like hot who knows what they have in mind.

Giggle and make some stupid sound trying to say thanks, get embarrassed, start blushing then walk off... Probably tripping on the way.
