I shower 2-times a day sometimes 3. I was taught since I was real small to keep my body clean and my finger and toe nails clean and trimmed. Well last Saturday night I spent the night at my friends house and he had invited this other kid who was his old neighbor. When we got ready for bed we were in our boxer briefs and boxers and when my friends neighbor took of his socks, his feet stunk, his toe nails long and dirt under his nails. :what: It was gross. My friend even told me that it was nasty. Do you think I'm being too critical? I'm paranoid all the time that I keep my feet clean and they don't smell. I would be embarrassed because I'm barefoot a lot since I'm on my schools swim team. What are everyone's feelings.

I think you were right to think the guy was nasty, and it is clear that the guy's family must not have taught him to keep himself clean. No question that guy will have a lot of issues when it comes to hanging out with people unless he learns to keep himself clean.

that is nasty-maybe his family does not have ways to wash up.
ur friend should have told him bout it but not in a way to make
him feel bad.

You just like to keep yourself clean, and that's obviously a good thing, but there is no need to criticize others for their personal hygiene. That guy might have been really busy in the last days and perhaps didn't have time to take care a bit of himself.

My personal hygiene isn't great when I'm on my own, but if I'm meeting anyone I always make sure I'm perfectly clean.

I guess he simply doesn't care about it, and if he doesn't care, you shouldn't either.

Point is.. It's his life, his body, his choice. Don't even mention it to him, you'll probably only upset him anyway.

I think that sounds disgusting, you should always keep it neat and not smelling of course I would have been gagging if I were you

I agree with you on how gross that is. As long as you're not being rude to the other person about it directly it's not wrong to think about it. Bad hygiene is not something people want to be around. :)

Thanks guys for your opinions. Talking to my friend more he told me that usually he's clean and neat, don't get me wrong he is really a cool kid. My friend and I think he may be depressed or sad, thats the reason maybe he stopped taking care of himself.

Sounds like a cry for help if your friend cares for him, try spending some more time and help him out. Maybe a trip to the ymca or something to "swim" where you all take showers before going in the pool, sounds like he is in need of a true friend...

It is gross I agree - but sometimes hygiene slips for a reason - maybe problems at home. So you are not to critical no way its good to have real good hygiene but not every one shares or can share your ideals.

Certainly it's nasty!
As a friend you should respect him and politely advise him to be clean.

It's Definitely gross, but I feel that you are a little to harsh on yourself when it comes to hygiene. A shower per day is fine and it's not the end of the world to miss a day.
