I hate to admit this, but I only recently saw the full movie, Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.

It was awesome. The story really hit me in a way that no other story ever has. I can't even explain how great it was. The soundtrack which included an awesome song that has a few ties to Vietnam titled Fortunate Son. Not sure if you've heard it.

ANYWAYS, I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you have a few hours, watch Forrest Gump if you haven't seen it. You won't regret it.

I've always loved it. Unfortunately though I think Forrest Gump and Green Mile are Tom Hanks' only good movies... :(
But yeah, I love Forrest Gump! :D

I'll let you know what I think of them. :D
Honestly I thought I was up-to-date on Tom Hanks' movies but I guess not. :P

I didn't know the restaurant Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. was a movie reference to it until I saw the movie... :whoops:

Don't forget Philadelphia, Sleepless in Seattle, Toy Story trilogy, Captain Phillips, You've Got Mail, Saving Private Ryan, and Cast Away! Tom Hanks has quite a fantastic batting average as far as movies; he just has a few dubs here and there, as every actor encounters.

Forrest Gump is definitely in my top ten movies. I love how it takes historical events and ties them in so seamlessly into the movie, and it makes you think just how significant one person can be. Although it is fiction, it gives inspiration; here is one man who has a handicap but is still able to be such a revolutionary person.

I second the notion that if you haven't seen the movie, just take the time and watch a really enjoyable movie.
