Hey,

I've tried a few different kinds of acne medication but nothing works. I had perfect skin up until about a year ago and it went to hell because of stress and heat and things, and I can't get back to where I was. I tried Neutrogena, Proactiv, and a couple of noname brands, but none of them actually help.

A big part of the problem I think is my skin gets so oily. I wash my face in the shower right when I get in, and literally by the time I finish and dry off, my skin is oily and slick again. I don't know what to do. Most of it is around my chin/cheeks and right under my earlobes. I also get acne on my upper chest/neck and shoulders and upper back, and nothing I use keeps it away.

Right now I have Neutrogena, it's a power scrub that's supposed to fight acne and control oil, and I use this liquid thing that goes on with a cotton ball after I wash my face, it burns my skin where the acne is but I haven't been using it long enough to tell if it works. I used it about an hour ago though and I can rub my fingers across my face and they feel slippery. Mostly right under my eyelids and on my forehead.

I also think I have some kind of scarring or something from where acne used to be. My face is splotchy and red in little dots like freckles, and I hate it. But I don't know if it's actual scarring or if it's just small pimples because every now and then I can feel little bumps. But either way, what can I use to make my skin more uniformly colored? It's dark in places and lighter in others, and red in some. I wish I could use makeup haha

What brands do you all use that work the best? Should I try going to a doctor?
