How do I "initiate" my first kiss?

I know this sounds like an odd question, but I really have trouble with this one. I don't know how to be all touchy-feely with a girl when it comes to this.

My girlfriend and I both kind of shy and awkward sometimes, but I feel like having our first kiss would break us out of our shells. Thing is, I just feel like I'm too awkward to initiate it. I've skipped dating alot of girls because sometimes I feel like I'm too awkward to be a good boyfriend, but I'm absolutely crazy about this girl and I don't want to lose her.

Don't think about it, just be with your feelings and emotions. Best way is to go for it.
I haven't yet but it's the only real way I can see it happening, and from others saying so. Let go of thinking, just immerse in it.

This might be an odd answer, but it isn't when you just go with the flow ^.^

When I was younger and had my first girlfriend, situation was kind of the same. Just ask her while texting (or whatever) if she'd like to kiss. And then next time you see her, just go for it - lean in about half way and she'll probably lean in too and then wa-la!

I thank you! I had no idea how it was spelled and was quite sure it was wrong, so I just spelled it how it sounds, haha. But now that you mention the spelling - I recognize the spelling :)

i had the same problem with my first kiss. i can be shy and awkward too, but my girlfriend initiated the first kiss and after that it wasn't awkward anymore. Maybe you should wait for your girlfriend to initiate the kiss.

Ok first off you need to invite her over to your house for dinner. Set up the candles and throw rose petals all over everything. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. Her food, water, the ceiling fans, the table, the floor, your hair.

And then, when she goes to use the bathroom (all girls do this at dinner to check makeup and shit), wait outside the door for her. When she comes out, corner her, look deep into her eyes, touch her face, and profess your love for her. Then take her and kiss her passionately.

Exactly what's been said before: Just go with the flow. The greater the expectation the more likely you might end up disappointed!

Also, how serious of a relationship is this? What do both of you expect/see in this relationship? How long have ya been together?

I don't know what to say, i've never initiated the first kiss. But I guess if you're in "the moment" you'll feel it and you just gotta go for it
