Broken Love Promise

When me and my ex BF were together he asked me: "How long will you love me?"
I replied "I promise i will love you as long as stars are above us" meaning stars in space (in other words i would love him forever).
Problem is i have got over him... but i don't want to be over him. I want to love him. And i never wanted to break the promise. Somebody help

You can't help how you feel my friend and if its gone, then chances are it aint coming back, I know its not what you want to hear but honesty is the best policy.

You want to love him only because of the promise, right? Well, what made you lose your interest on him, then? I don't think we can like someone and some time after just lose all the desire to be with that person. You must feel stressful and worried about something, and that makes you look to him in a different way. I would ask him if he thinks something is wrong with you or different in the last days.
