Whenever I shave my pubes I always get a rash and bumps. Does this happen to anyone else. How do you prevent it? ( I also trim them with scissors but I like to shave the edges to make it look cleaner)

Well if u trim it it grows back faster and more messier then before. I suggest trimming in shower it helps to get a clean trim.
if u shave it do it in the shower so theres not much friction and continue doing it so it doesnt grow to the point where its painful.
Anyways hoped this helped.Apply some type of lotion to help with rash and make sure u wash the hair there might be some old hair leftover causing the skin to get irritated good luck:yes:

Shave it properly, like with shaving cream and that. And do it when they're soft, like after you've had a shower.

I find shaving down there very uncomfortable because it gets bumpy and itchy. It's simply the discomfort of it growing back! I would try using aftershave, that could help. If you have a rash then it means that it is irritated. It's probably best to not shave them for a while, if at all. With trimming you can get it pretty short, and not have the itchy bumps and rash. :)

maybe some moisturiser would help but what are you shaving with

razor or electric - I find a wet disposable razor okay.

go slow -

Yeah that happened the first time I did it. Never did it again.

yes that will happen but try (i know this will sound weird at first) shaving cream, or shave it in the direction the hair grows

That always happens. I don't know of a specific way to prevent it.

I use Gold Bond maximum relief it works really well to make the rash go away and stop itching. You can find it at Rite Aid, CVS, etc.

When I tried I got the same thing and I hated it. I just trim them so they aren't long.

The first time you shave, that will happen. But after the first time it gets better. When you want to shave, make sure you've trimmed it less than 1cm. Then make sure you have shaving cream and your razor in the shower. After shaved, you pat - dry your shaven area, and rub after shave/ baby oil in. You shouldn't get a rush after that :)

When I used to trim I did it right after a shower, was a lot easier.

One way of lessening the 'rash' is by actually sleeping naked once you've shaved it: it let's air reach your groin and helps it to stop. I have to do it after I've shaved for a couple of nights usually.
