I have been thinking about a future career in mathematics and science, and my mom my found a school that focuses on those... it's like 3 or so hours away from my current school, and I really want to go.
But my mom said I would have to live on campus, and I wouldn't be able to go back to my old school if I dont like it, so I would lose my friends. I don't know if im ready to leave like that yet. My mom said she thinks im too young but she realises that it would be a great opportunity for me
I don't know what I should do... go to the school or stay?

Illinois Math and Science Academy?

I had friends from middle school/jr. high that went there (and some that are currently there) and they seem to really like it.

If math and science is something that really interests you, I would go for it. You'll make new friends and adjust to living away from your family. You won't be the only person in that situation; most people around you will be boarding as well and you'll be around smart kids with similar interests as you. :)

Check out their Facebook page to see what's going on at the school and you can contact some staff or students if you have any questions or want to talk about something ---> https://www.facebook.com/pages/Illinois-Mathematics-and-Science-Academy-IMSA-Official-Site/124393508608
